The Streaming Giant Selects Perfect Star for Bentham in the Hit Series Season 3

Baroque Works is poised to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the real showdown isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.

The platform declared Tuesday that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Bentham. The role has the ability to change into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will portray a rendition of that role re-envisioned as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the live-action series, as in the initial comic and animated series.

Escola joins multiple recently announced actors who will portray the group to the screen, featuring chief Mr. 0, brought to life by the seasoned performer, an emerging star as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the lineup as the ruler of the fictional land.

Although this character is a major member of Baroque Works, the persona won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. With the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this represents a notable change in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could suggest additional alterations to the narrative framework.

Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the part. Along with their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and multiple awards for writing and starring in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
