The Ideal Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form According to the Astrological Sign
The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement across the community. From the gradual reveal of newcomers before the game's launch, to trainers forming firm opinions on the entire roster of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given many of the Super Forms boasting distinctive appearances that emphasize their traits, one idea came to mind: How can connect this with astrology? This list is inspired by a blend of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why Aries much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Remain on the friendly side of either and benefit from a strong partner; if you cross them, be ready to face the consequences.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Similar to a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross, whether in its regular and Super Form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the creature and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their side unwaveringly. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Many previous Pokédex entries mention their fondness for sweet sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Look at this total royalty. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the life of every party, providing an constant stream of gossip to anyone who wish to listen. Much like an captivating, sociable Twins, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham captivating an whole open area with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to foresee an opponent's next moves, which sounds quite similar to a socially-savvy Twins.
Cancer – Mega Manectric
The Crab is widely considered as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate sign known for often becoming wrapped up in their feelings. Per the official info, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's excessive for Manectric to fully manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. It is also known for its ability to create a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s spoil their good time.
The Lion – Mega Starmie
Well, did you think I was going to pick Pyroar for the lion of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be far too on the nose, The Lion is obviously Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Fans were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the identical vibe a Lion offers to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a show, even if for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Maiden is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The sign known for being charmingly critical is clearly reflected across this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s just like the emoji a Maiden sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a plan.
Libra – Mega Audino
Look at this sweet, sensitive being, who employs the sensors on its ears to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are many Scales who would likely benefit from Super Audino's abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them worry more about everyone else.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
Banette is a creature with a unexpectedly sad origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and swore revenge on its former owner. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. Being a Sagittarius myself, the amount of times I’ve called myself some version of a “silly little entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can think of.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee disasters in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Goat, who tends to always believe they’re right. The thing is, much like a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Aloof element Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame sign that is closest to a flame symbol – its sister sign is Leo, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame typing fits seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's general intimidating aura is also extremely Water Bearer. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “draws in hatred and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
