The Gory Cartoon Movie Conclusion That Haunts Audiences

Among every adult-oriented cartoon movies I’ve ever watched, no other has stuck with me quite like the fear-filled finale of a graphically gory as well as deeply subversive 2022 movie Unicorn Wars.

In the year 2015, the Spain-based writer-director created a grim, bleak and often savage world with several minor , desolate hints of hope.

While Unicorn Wars feels like it originated from a desire to push animation even more, the filmmaker clarified that it was more an effort to convey a widespread, multicultural message concerning “the mutual source of all wars.”

That idea is conveyed via a band of brightly hued teddy bears , clearly modeled after a well-known line of lovable figures.

Being raised in a society built around warmongering and the military-industrial complex, a lot of these creatures are fixated on exterminating the mythical beasts, thanks to a religious scripture which states them they used to be kings of the woods, until the horned beings expelled them.

Some did not entirely accepted the indoctrination, and prefer to experiment with substances or fornicate in the woods.

In contrast to their gentle equivalents, these vivid animals show sexual organs , clear sex drives.

For one notably brutal, pessimistic creature, Bluey, the war against unicorns turns into a route to control — and specifically to authority above his softer, more compassionate sibling the character Tubby.

Bluey behaves aggressively , an obvious sociopath , and while fear overcomes his group and kills his comrades individually, he seizes progressively influence on his own behalf, via progressively gory, destructive ways.

At the same time, the unicorns are enduring their own terror, through a growing, destructive monster in their woods.

“In the early stages, it appears as a comedy,” the filmmaker stated. “But then it evolves into a more dramatic and sorrowful movie. And ultimately, it’s a scary feature.”

The Unicorn Wars starts out similar to one of the more quirky features from a legendary animator, which find a wicked pleasure in allowing cartoon characters curse, shoot each other, or sex each other up.

Then it becomes more akin to a more grim work from the same creator, including ever more visual gore , a palpable link to genuine horror of battle.

In the finale, it’s a complete extreme drama carnage.

The terror that turns this a perfect Halloween watch starts a lot earlier than that description suggests.

The Unicorn Wars is suited for the devoted gorehounds, for lovers of intense movies who wish to see something they haven’t ever viewed until now, and can endure a plot that offers absolutely no punches.

See it in a dimly lit space with no disturbances, and the conclusion will crawl into your mind and stay with you.
