The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in a California Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in the state of California at the age of 55.
His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The renowned video game developer died after his car crashed and burst into flames on a motorway in LA on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and all those touched by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
