Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev claimed his initial title for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has endured a torrid year, winning just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - caused him exiting of the top ten and eventually separating with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought three-set win over opponent Moutet.
This marks his initial title since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt since that period of the previous year.
Victory also means he has won twenty-one victories at twenty-one various tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters together, so to get a trophy is particularly special," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child her name, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, comprising in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive play style and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had led some to wonder if his ability to play at the top level was over.
However the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete positively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, securing four of the last five games to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden tour championship, gained dominance to force a final set.
Moutet defended 4 initial opportunities in a competitive deciding set before the champion broke to 15 to secure the win.
Appropriately, he clinched victory with a point at the net area, with his opponent incapable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
